Deaths from household and outdoor air pollution, World, 1990 to 2016

Total absolute number of deaths from household and outdoor (ambient) air pollution per year. Household pollution-related deaths result from the use of solid fuels
(crop wastes, dung, firewood, charcoal and coal) for cooking and heating. Outdoor pollution-related deaths result from disease attributed to exposure to particulate
matter (PM) and ozone (O₃).
