Infant mortality rates in England and Wales

Infant mortality rates in England and Wales across the various periods of the first year of life. Mortality rates are measured as the number of deaths per 1,000 live
births for neonatal and postneonatal variables; and per 1,000 total births for perinatal and infant mortality. Note: the rise in infant mortality in 2015 and 2016 may be the
result of changes in reporting; an increasing number of infants born below the extreme age of viability (22 weeks of gestation) have been recorded in these years.
