Total annual deaths in the United States, broken down by broad category of causes. Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) includes cardiovascular diseases (heart
diseases and strokes), cancers, respiratory disease and diabetes. Accidents includes road accidents, falls, fires, drowning, accidential poisonings. The remaining
category includes communicable, infectious, neonatal and other non-NCD health conditions.
